BRIEF HISTORY

M’mockmbie All Workers Cooperative Credit Union Ltd (MAWOCCUL) with a Board of Directors (COOP-BOD) is a savings and lending category one microfinance institution that was created in 2019 with an initial 28 members team from a social group called M’mockmbie all workers Union Bamenda (MOWUB) and registered with COOPGIC certificate number 19/058/CMR/NW/38/202/CCA/036004/036004000 and Reg. No. TPPRR: RC/BDA/2021B/0000315. The primary aim was to put together financial resources and grow as a block. Its doors were finally opened on the 18^th of March 2020. The Credit Union operates in strict compliance with COBAC/OHADA norms and the principles of Credit Unionism at the pivot.

Following advice of the apex organ (RECCU-CAM) and in consonance with the rapid growth rate of the Credit Union barely after two years of existence, the number of members of the Board of Directors was increased to five at the 2022 AGM. The following were elected to join the pioneer board members;

The credit MAWOCCUL presently operates with five workers and still needs the services of

more daily collectors.

BRANCHES

Presently, MAWOCCUL has only her main/operational office in Bamenda. As soon as the accreditation procedure of the Credit Union is finalized branches will go operational particularly in M’mockmbie Fondom which is the seat of the head office of MAWOCCUL. MAWOCCUL IN PICTURES
